Ayurvedic Remedies For Herpes
Herpes is a form of skin infection that is caused by herpes simplex virus. Small liquid filled blisters appear near the mouth, on the skin or on genitals. It is a viral infection that is caused by close skin to skin or sexual contact.
There are two types of herpes:
Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV 1)
Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (HSV 2)
HSV 1 is a simple type of herpes which is caused near the mouth or any other parts of the body. It is spread by close skin to skin contact or by sharing personal objects of the person.

HSV 2
HSV 2 is commonly known as genital herpes. It is spread through sexual contact with the affected person. These types of herpes can also spread to the unborn child if the mother is affected by it.
According to Ayurveda, the root cause for the most illness is the vitiation of pitta. The imbalance of doshas can cause many diseases. Imbalance of doshas is caused by reasons such as not proper sleep, not taking good diet.
The first step in curing these diseases is balancing doshas. Ayurveda recommends dietary changes and herbs to flush out the toxins and cure diseases.

Neem
Neem is one of the best herbs for the treatment of a host of diseases. Its anti-bacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial herbs in treating infections like herpes.

Echinacea
Echinacea is popularly known as the 'King of bitters’ is a herb prescribed by Ayurveda for the treatment of herpes. It helps in making your immune system strong. Its stem, leaves, root and flowers have a high medicinal value which can be used to cure the problem of herpes.

Licorice roots
Liquorice roots are popularly known as Mulethi in Ayurveda is a beneficial remedy for the treatment of herpes. It contains glycyrrhizic acid which helps in the fight against the virus causing herpes. Its therapeutic properties help in soothing the irritation experienced in Herpes.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is one of the best remedies used in case of the herpes outbreak. It helps in soothing irritation caused in case of herpes. Its healing properties help in healing the wound faster. Aloe Vera is a great herb for any problems associated with the skin.

Cornstarch
Cornstarch is one of the most effective remedies for herpes. It reduces excess moisture and is very effective in reducing itching sensation caused by herpes.
Apply cornstarch on the affected area and leave it for few hours. It will help in reducing the itching and pain experienced in herpes. It will also help in healing herpes faster.

Oregano Oil
Oregano oil is packed with anti-viral properties which help in curing herpes faster. Applying Oregano oil on the affected area will help in drying herpes faster
Honey
Honey is recommended by Ayurveda in a host of skin problems. It has amazing healing properties which are beneficial in healing herpes faster.
Apply honey on the affected area and leave it to dry for some time. Wash it after some time. Regular application of honey will help in drying herpes faster.
