5 Natural Cures For Herpes
The very thought of being infected with herpes can be pretty shattering because it is a common belief that herpes is not curable. But do you know that there are natural cures for herpes? Read on, to know more.

1. Tea Tree Oil
This essential oil is a helpful cure for herpes. Apply a drop of the oil on the infected area and rub it lightly. Applying it before bedtime would be a good time to give the oil time to work on the infection.
It works effectively on both oral and genital herpes and is seen to provide relief within a few applications.

2. Ice Packs
A very basic ingredient like ice can bring great relief to herpes affected area. Fill a couple of crushed ice cubes in a bag. Apply the ice to the affected area several times a day. Repeated application will bring about relief in pain and swelling.
But remember to discard the plastic bag after use as it can be laden with infection.

3. Honey
The benefits of honey are innumerable. It can be taken internally as well applied on to the skin. Being an excellent infection fighter honey has proven to be one of best natural cures for herpes. Apply and leave for half an hour and wash off. Honey gives very quick results with no side effects.
4. Black Tea
With its antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties tea helps bring about relief by effectively reducing sores in herpes. Soak a tea bag in a cup of warm water for a couple of minutes. With the tea bag well soaked and moist apply it to the infected area. In the absence of tea bags cotton balls can be soaked in black tea liquor and applied to herpes infected regions.

5. Lysine
Lysine is an amino acid that is found to be helpful in preventing and treating herpes simplex virus. It is has also been known to shorten the length of outbreak of sores and blisters. Lysine supplements can be taken to reduce the recurrence of herpes infection.
Including fish, chicken and eggs in the diet can also help get that extra dose of lysine. While taking supplements patients suffering from heart problems should consult a doctor because lysine has been known to increase cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
With the right kind of treatment administered at the right time various diseases can be controlled at the initial stage. Same goes for herpes.
There are natural remedies for herpes which help bring relief and cure the blisters and sores. Since every individual differs there may be varying results.
