1.Nerve Damage - Nerve damage is almost inevitable in cosmetic surgery. Surgeons have themselves confessed that in the most careful surgery also nerve damage is one of the biggest health risk of cosmetic surgery. Slight nerve damage leave you with a tingling sensation and severe nerve damage can make one lead to the extend of damaging an organ.
2.Blood Clots – Blood clots is yet another major health risk of cosmetic surgery. Blood clots in leg is the most dangerous situation. Blood from the leg goes to the heart, from where it is pumped to all the parts of the body. Thus, blood clot in the leg means you are at risk of death. Some times these blood clots need to be surgically removed which further complicates the surgery. Some time during the surgery due to excessive blood loss, blood transfusions becomes necessary.
3.Infection – Infection usually occur after the cosmetic surgery is done. T happens at the point of incision. The infection need not necessarily be on the external but it mostly happens inside the body. After cosmetic surgery one is at the health risk of infections as the surgery lowers the immune system of the body, making it sensitive to many other kinds of diseases. Some times these infections force the patient to undergo opening up of the incision before time.
These health risks of cosmetic surgeries are faced by patients regularly and there have also been cases of physical damage and death.
