Diet After A Heart Attack

Heart attack is the most unpredictable cause of death but with medical advancement it has sustaining a attack and recovering has become possible. After an heart attack it is needless to say that weak heart is the condition. Diet plays an important role in strengthening the heart and thus after heart attack, diet has to be given utmost importance.
Diet After Heart Attack -
1.The first aim of diet after heart attack should be to reduce bad cholesterol. The best way to do that is to include plenty of fruits and vegetables in the diet. This helps in reducing the level of bad cholesterol.
2.Vegetables and fruits are best consumed raw or par cooked. The par cooked vegetables and fruits help in reducing the enzyme in the body. The fiber derived from it helps in preventing heart diseases.
3.Red onions are rich source of antioxidants and beneficial to heart.
4.Garlic is the food for heart. It lowers cholesterol, triglycerides and lowers blood pressure.
5.Use low fat food items in meals, like, low fat yogurt, cottage cheese, low fat sour cream, sesame oil etc.
6.After heart attack diet, however, should include essential fatty acids which would include, fish, seeds and nuts.
7.According to a research eating walnuts are also beneficial to the heart.
Following this diet after heart attack will prevent blood clots and other fatty materials which hinder the proper working of the heart. Blood pressure and cholesterol levels which are also one of the major reason of the disease will also lower.
