Playing American Football Makes You Shorter
Winning a big football match may raise your spirits to new heights, but the game itself takes a toll on your physical stature, at least that"s what a new study suggests.
According to the study, players shrink during games of American football.
In the study it was found that ten players lost an average of 1.75cms in height as the weight of protective garb plus the impact of collisions compressed spinal discs, reports The Sun.
The surprising study was led by Dr Brian Campbell at the American College of Sports Medicine in Indianapolis.
He suggested that quarterbacks and others should “have a lie down at half time".
