Indian Cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s Workout Routine Is A Motivation To All Young Sports-people
Smriti Mandhana's rise to the top of the women's cricket echelon seems to be inevitable from one perspective. An Indian cricketer born on 18 July 1996, Smriti Mandhana plays for the Indian women's national team as well as the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women's Premier League.

At the age of nine, she was selected to represent Maharashtra's under-15 state team. Two years later, she was fast-tracked into Maharashtra's under-19 team [1].
This is a testament to her dedication to training in the morning - going to school in the afternoon, and then hitting the cricket nets in the evening.
Today, we will look at Smriti Mandhana's Workout Routine.
Smriti Mandhana's Workout Routine
1. Cardio session
A daily cardio workout of at least half an hour is an important component of Smriti Mandhana's workout routine. She incorporates cycle and running to improve her energy and strength levels.
For most people, a 30-minute cardio workout can be done every day. However, people with chronic health conditions may not be able to do as much cardio exercise as they would like, but still, it is important to remain active [2].
2. Strength training
Among Smriti Mandhana's favorite workout routines is strength training. Women who strength train often suffer from less pain in their joints, less bone loss, and decreased back pain. Lifting weights consistently can help you improve your bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis [3].
Among Smriti Mandhana's strength training exercises are squats, pull-ups, lunges, and pull-ups.

3. Yoga
Yoga and meditation are active activities that Smriti Mandhana engages in every day. She practices Surya Namaskar on a regular basis, also referred to as 'The Ultimate Asana'. Surya Namaskar strengthens your back, and your muscles and lowers blood sugar levels.
Additionally, it increases metabolism and blood circulation, which leads to glowing skin, as well as regular menstruation for women [4].
4. Post-workout meal
While this falls under the diet category, Smriti Mandhana ends her workout routine every day with a protein shake.
In general, it is safe to drink protein shakes every day, but you should obtain the majority of your protein and other foods from whole foods.

When you do not consume whole food sources, you will be missing out on valuable nutrients that are vital to your health and support your workout performance and recovery [5].
