We all like to look healthy and, at the same time, do not want that unnecessary fat. Obviously, nobody likes to become fat. Is there a diet to gain weight but not fat?

Eating junk food will make you big, fat and unhealthy. The worst part is that you will build very bad, hard-to-break nutritional habits, and getting rid of them will become a challenging task.
One important point that you need to remember while following a diet to gain weight but not fat is that you need to eat at regular intervals.

What You Should Do To Gain Weight & Not Fat:
Try to have 6 meals in decent quantities rather than having 3 heavy meals. Eating frequently every 2-3 hours once will help you in gaining those calories and not fat.
Try to do cardio every day at moderate levels. This can help to boost your appetite and get the metabolism running a little faster.

Foods To Include In Your Diet:
To avoid fat gain, make sure 90% of your food contains whole grains. Whole foods are unprocessed and unrefined and retain their natural state.
Protein-rich foods like tuna, fish, whole eggs, chicken breast, etc, make for a great diet. Though you do not want to accumulate fat in your body, some amount of healthy fat is required and this comes from foods like olive oil, fish oil, real butter, mixed nuts and avocados.
Starchy carbs like brown rice, oats, quinoa, brown pasta, etc, are also essential for your healthy weight gain. Fresh fruits and veggies are always healthy, especially bananas, apples, spinach and broccoli.

Foods That Need To Be Avoided:
Packaged snacks like chips, cakes, cookies, crackers, sugar-coated nuts, etc, need to be avoided completely. And consider alcohol your enemy.
Avoid processed meat, calorie beverages, etc. Pre-made meals and frozen foods, deep-fried foods and of course junk foods are a strict no-no.
With all these healthy eating habits you can gain weight but not fat.
