Colors, be it in any form, make our lives refreshing and also are said to influence the body chakra (energy system) so know how the rainbow colors can be made as a part of your daily diet.
Rainbow Diet For A Healthy Lifestyle -
- Violet – Violet is linked to the sahasrachakra which is the highest ring of the body. It is the chakra for enlightment. The violet colored vegetables like black grapes, berries and egg plant are a must for the body. They are known for their aesthetic properties.
- Indigo – The color is related to agya chakra which means intuition, senses and power. The clairvoyance property itself is referred to special powers. Jamuns and olives of the color have rich medicinal properties which is why are included in the diet.
- Blue – One of the significant colors even in fengshui is related to diet as it is matched with the throat chakra. As our body contains 2/3 rds of water just like the mother earth, it is prioritized in the list of rainbow diet. Blue berries and other polyphenol rich vegetables (that prevent cancer) come under this segment.
- Green – Green means iron rich, iron improves red in blood so the color signifies the heart chakra. The chlorophyll rich plants are known for their fiber rich qualities, vitamins, minerals that prevent from various ailments like arthritis and cancer.
- Yellow – The bright color signifies manipur chakra. The light color enriches nerves and brain health. It also take care of the bones. Turmeric, mustard, pulses, corn and pineapple come under the color.. Apart from digestive properties, even the asthmatic nature is taken into consideration.
- Orange – The color symbolizing the swadishtana chakra , the second chakra in the body talks aout the body's emotional and water balance. Pumpkins, carrots and oranges, the carotene rich vegetables help in maintaining the blood levels and provide good amount of minerals to the body.
- Red – Red is the base chakra indicating hunger and physical energy. The root chakra also explain about physical intimacy and tomatoes, strawberries, apple, pomegranate come under this division. Lycopene in these vegetables prevent cancer and helps in the regeneration of cells.
The rainbow diet is simple and no strict set of rules are to follow, so going for only these ingredients keeps you healthy and lively always.
