Destination Wedding: 9 Essentials To Carry When Attending The Ceremony As Guest
Attending a destination wedding in another state or country? Not sure what all things to pack and what should be left behind? Worried you will miss out on something essential? Don't panic. We are here to guide you over packing the important things when attending the destination wedding as a guest!
Travelling Documents
Carry a travelling document folder and keep your passport, flight tickets, train tickets, travel insurance and other important documents safely in one place. Make sure to cross-check the dates and schedule to plan the trip as per the itinerary.

Grooming Kit
Prepare a grooming kit that can include a mini makeup bag to carry lipsticks, makeup brushes, kajal pencils, lip liner, mascara, cotton pads, bob pins, sunscreen and make-up remover. While another vanity pouch can include toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, hair spray, safety pins and perfume or mist. Make a checklist as per your requirements.
Wedding Clothes
Most wedding celebrations last for 2-3 days. So you can carry around 3 or 4 occasional wear outfits. If the wedding has a specific theme, then it is better to keep your ensemble ready as per the requirements. Also, if some outfits require some fitting done, then do it in advance and avoid keeping it for the last day.
Accessories
Your occasional outfits will remain incomplete without jewellery. Match the jewellery with the outfits and keep them together with the outfits to avoid searching for the entire suitcase when you need one! Keep the jewellery in a box or air-tight pouch to keep its shine intact for years. If carrying precious jewellery, then it is advisable to keep it in your handbag only.
Comfy Footwear
Occasional wear outfits mostly require you to opt for heels for that extra height and edge. But the same can lead to discomfort after a few hours. That's why it is necessary to carry comfy footwear which can include flats like embellished ballerinas, sandals, etc that can match the special ceremonial outfit perfectly. Also, prefer comfortable footwear during travelling as well!
Invitation Card
Yes, it is better to carry the invitation card for a destination wedding in case you need to show the proof to the customs officials to crosscheck the purpose of your visit to the specific country.
Gift
Even if the wedding invitation says no gift, it is better if you carry a token of appreciation or reminder for the newlyweds. Ensure that you buy something that is not too heavy or too fragile. If there is a facility for a wedding registry, then nothing like it!
Emergency Kit
Never skip this essential kit whenever you travelling for wedding or leisure purposes. Keep the medicines pouch handy for headaches, upset tummy, painkillers, balm, muscle pain ointment, etc. If you take some medicines regularly, then carry them without fail and carry the doctor's prescription with you either in print or digital format.
Chargers
Chargers to your phone, tab, laptop, power bank, multiple plugs, DSLR wire, extra batteries, and more; carry these essentials as per your requirements.
