Shravan Recipe: Masaledar Aloo Beans Ki Sabji
The month of Shravan is still on and people are heavily reliant on vegetarian food. Avoiding onions and garlic is a huge nuisance when it comes to cooking vegetarian food. Nobody prefers the bland taste and yet you have to follow the rules. But we, at Boldsky, try to take away the blandness from your food and make it interesting.
Today we have a spicy and delectable vegetarian recipe of masaledar aloo beans ki sabji which will solve your daily problem of cooking without onions and garlic. This special Shravan recipe is cooked with a lot of spices which makes it a perfect delight for your taste-buds.

Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Potatoes- 4 (cut into thick slices)
- Indian beans- 10-15 (cut into medium sized pieces)
- Kala jeera (onion seeds)- 1tsp
- Methi (fenugreek seeds)- 1tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Jeera (cumin) powder- 1tsp
- Dhaniya (coriander) powder- 1tsp
- Chat masala- 2tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2tbsp
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
Procedure
1. Cut the potatoes into thick slices and keep them soaked in water.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add kala jeera, methi. Fry for a few seconds.
3. Drain the water from the potatoes and add them to the pan.
4. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the beans and stir fry for another 5-6 minutes.
5. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, chat masala and fry for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
6. Sprinkle a little wate, lower the flame, cover the pan with lid and cook for another 4-5 minutes till the vegetables get completely cooked.
7. Once done, switch off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Aloo beans ki sabji is ready to be served. This tasty Shravan recipe can be paired with rotis or can also be served as a side dish.
