Crisp Aloo With Green Beans Recipe
Aloo or potatoes are one of the chief ingredients used in almost all the Indian household. A side dish or rather meal is incomplete without the usage of aloo. Ideally, the breakfast in Indian households consist of the staple food roti and a dry sabji.
There are many aloo recipes that you can prepare for the side dish. The dry aloo sabji can either be teamed up with roti or used as a side dish with rice and dal. As the market is filled with seasonal greens, Boldsky has come up with a delicious and healthy aloo and green beans recipe. It is a dry recipe which doesn't take a lot of time to cook. Here is the dry aloo and beans recipe for side dish. Take a look.
Aloo With Green Beans: Side Dish Recipe

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
1. Aloo- 5-6 (peeled, washed and chopped)
2. Green beans- 10-12 (chopped)
3. Green chillies- 2- (chopped)
4. Turmeric powder- 1tsp
5. Red chilli powder- 1tsp
6. Coriander powder- ½ tsp
7. Cumin seeds- 1tsp
8. Salt- as per taste
9. Oil- 1tbsp
Procedure
1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Season with cumin seeds.
2. When the seeds start to splutter, add the chopped potatoes and saute for about 2 minutes on a medium flame.
3. Add the chopped green beans and green chillies. Mix and cook for another minute. Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder.
4. Cook on a low flame for 6-10 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and saute at short intervals to allow even cooking.
5. Once the aloo looks cooked and the beans have also become tender. Add red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix all the ingredients well and then put the pan off flame.
Dry and crisp aloo and green beans is ready to eat. Serve this side dish hot with roti or rice and dal.
