Aloo Pulao Recipe – Easy Navratri Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 potatoes diced in small pieces
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 11/2 cups basmati rice
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 clove and a bay leaf
- 11/2 tsp rock salt
- 1 green cardamom
- A piece of cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 4-5 mint leaves
- 2 green chilies
- green coriander to garnish
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 3 cups water
- 2 tsps of fresh coconut
- 1 tsp tamarind juice
How To Make Aloo Pulao (potato pulao)?
1. Grind coriander, coconut, tamarind juice, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, mint leaves into paste and fry it with ghee, cumin seeds, ginger and bay leaves.
2. Add rice to the mixture and fry it for a few minutes.
3. Add the fried raw rice mixture to the cooker with water, sliced potato, chili powder, salt and pressure cook it for 15 minutes (until 3 whistles). Tasty aloo pulao is ready to serve.
4. Garnish the aloo pulao with chopped coriander and serve hot with spicy gravy or raita.
