Cashew Chutney Recipe for Wheat Rotis
Aren't you tired of cooking the same old chutney to go with your dosa and idlis in the morning? This morning, wake up to something different and unique to taste. This cashew chutney recipe will also go well with rotis - especially the wheat! To make this yummy and creamy cashew chutney recipe, all you need is lots of healthy nuts and other spices.
Mums, you will not find your child making a fuss to eat their dosa or idli with this chutney as it is varied to taste. There are some who make it spicy and some who love it sweet. It usually depends on your taste buds.
To make this yummy cashew chutney, here is the recipe to look into, this morning for breakfast.

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Cashew nut - 1 cup
- Dry red chilly - 3 (sliced into two)
- Small Onions - 6 (crushed or full)
- Tamarind - ½ piece
- Salt - as per taste
- Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Procedure
1) Take a pan, when hot add in the coconut oil, roast the nuts on the oil when hot and till they turn a little golden colour.
2) now in the same pan, add in the dry red chillies and fry them over a low flame. Try not to burn the red chillies as it will give in a different taste to the chutney.
3) Now in a mixer put all these ingredients together (including the onions, tamarind and the salt) to make a nice paste. Add in a little water, if required, so that the chutney doesn't turn out to be very thick in nature.
Your cashew chutney is now ready to eat. To make it sweet to taste, add in sugar or jiggery with the rest of the spices.
