Yummy Mushroom Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you miss your breakfast, you will only over eat at the time of lunch. This is not a healthy method to follow as in cases like these, you will only tend to over eat which wont be good for your health. Serves: 3
Ingredients
- Sandwich bread - 6 slices
- Onion, medium - 2
- Button Mushrooms - 150 gms
- Garlic cheese spread - 3 tbsp
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 cup
- Mixed dried herbs - 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
- Pepper - to taste
- Butter - 5 tbsp
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Procedure
1. First apply butter on all the bread slices on just one side and keep aside.
2. Now heat a pan with 1 tsp of butter and oil. Add finely grated onion and sauté it in the oil till it turns pinkish in colour. Now add the sliced mushrooms into the pan and sauté for a minute or so.
3. The mushrooms will now start to wilt and leave water in the pan (this is normal). Now season the ingredients with pepper and salt. Cook it well till all the moisture is evaporated.
4. Take it off heat and set aside. Now add in the mixed dried herbs, garlic cheese spread, grated cheese, chopped coriander leaves and mix well using a flat spoon.
5. Heat a pan over a medium flame and grease it with a little butter. Place one slice of bread, with the buttered side facing the pan and let it turn brownish in colour.
6. Place some mushroom mixture on top of the bread, apply the ingredients evenly and close with another bread slice with the buttered side facing up.
7. Grill on high flame till the cheese gets melted completely into the sandwich. When done, flip and grill on the other side till brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup. Your mushroom cheese sandwich recipe is now ready to eat. Enjoy it when hot.
