Mini-Idly Recipe: Colourful & Healthy Recipe
Apart from the regular idly batter and fresh vegetables, all you need to prepare this healthy snack is a mini-idli stand that is available in all stores. Have a look at tasty mini-idly recipe.
Mini-Idli Recipe
Recipe for mini idli batter:
Idly rice: 1 cup
Urad Dal: A little more than half a cup
Wash and soak the rice and urad dal separately.
For the Colour:
Tomatoes, Carrot, Spinach (Washed and boiled)
Ragi Flour
Method for preparing mini-idli:
Grind the rice and urad dal that has been soaked separately. Later add little salt and mix both together.
Allow it to ferment overnight.
Make a separate puree of the tomatoes, carrot and spinach.
Divide the idly batter into 4 portions. Add each vegetable puree and ragi flour to each portion of the idly batter.
This way you'll have 4 differently coloured batters.
Grease the mould with ghee or oil. Pour the batter into the mould.
Steam for 10-15 mins.
Mini, colourful idlies are ready to be savoured. Serve with coconut or mint chutney.
