Fluffy Oats Idli Recipe For Breakfast
Eating a bowl of oats at the start of the day can give you tons of energy. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it is best you don't miss it. If you are over conscious regarding your weight, this ingredient will help you lose the extra pounds. Oats provides you with a lot of energy which will keep you active right through the day so that you can burn calories, some how. On the other hand, oats keeps your tummy full, which means you will not get the urge to binge on anything that gives you those calories.
This breakfast recipe for you to try out is easy and one of a kind. Oats idli is simple to make and one will not even find the difference when compared to rice idli. The best thing about oats idly is that it you can enjoy it with any side chutney. To prepare the oats idli, you will need a lot of time on your hands.
Here is the oats idli recipe, take a look:

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Oats - 1/4 cup
- Urad dal - 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Ginger- 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli paste -1 tsp
- Oil for greasing- 1/8 tsp
- Water - 1 1/2 cup
Procedure
- Begin by combining the oats and the urad dal. Blend both of these ingredients in a mixer to make a smooth powder.
- Now add in the water to the powder to make a paste. To this paste add the salt and green chilli paste too. Using a spoon, mix well to make a batter of pouring consistency.
- When done, cover and keep aside. Allow the batter to ferment for at least an hour.
- After an hour, grease the idli moulds using oil and put a good amount of batter into it.
- Steam in an idli steamer for 8 to 10 minutes minimum until it is cooked.
Your oats idli is now ready to eat. Make sure you enjoy this yummy vegetarian breakfast when hot. You can also add chopped coriander as garnish, if needed.
