Spicy Tomato Garlic Chutney Recipe
Here's the lip-smacking tomato and garlic chutney recipe that you could make to spice up your otherwise boring meals.
When you make pakoras or fries, you look for some yummy dips to make them even more tastier, ain't it? Usually, you serve fries with sauce or mayonnaise. But, if you make some chutney and serve it with your dish, they definitely will taste even better.
Instead of serving samosas with tomato sauce, if you serve it with dhaniya (coriander) ki chutney or pudine (mint) ki chutney, you will surely be praised for all your efforts.
Tomato garlic chutney tastes yummy and you can even have it with any kind of fries and pakoras. This chutney tastes so great that you may start licking your fingers to savour it to the fullest. Here are the ingredients and also the recipe of making the tomato garlic chutney. Take a look.
Serves - 4
Preparation Time - 10 minutes
Cooking Time - 15 minutes
Ingredients
• Tomatoes - 1 cup (finely chopped)
• Garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
• Oil - 1 tsp
• Spring Onions (white) - ¼th cup (finely chopped)
• Kashmiri Red Chillies - 2 (soaked in water and finely chopped)
• Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
• Spring Onions (Green) - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
• Coriander - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
• Salt to taste
Procedure:
• Heat oil in a pan and add spring onions (white) into it. Sauté well. Now, add garlic and mix well, but don't over fry it. Otherwise, the chutney may turn bitter.

• Now, add soaked red chillies and mix well. Add tomatoes into the pan and cook well. If you think you need water to cook the tomatoes, add little water and cook on high flame.

• Don't forget to press the tomatoes while cooking. Add tomato ketchup and salt into it. Tomato ketchup will give the chutney a sweet and sour taste.

• Now, give everything a good mix and turn off the stove. When the chutney cools down completely, add spring onions and coriander.
Your tomato garlic chutney is ready to be served.
