Hing Dahi Wale Chatpate Aloo Recipe
Aloo recipes are numerous. Potatoes are an all-time favourite vegetable that can be cooked instantly. To prepare some delicious and lip smacking recipes, you can use potato as a chief ingredient. There are many aloo recipes that you can try for breakfast, lunch, snacks or for dinner. From side dishes to appetisers, potatoes are widely used in the Indian cuisines.
If you extensively use potatoes and want to try something different to treat your taste buds, then here is a simple and quick hing dahi wale chatpate aloo recipe. This is a tangy curry which is prepared with curd. The boiled potatoes when mixed with curd gives an aromatic flavour which makes it lip smacking and delicious.

All you need
- Potatoes- 6 (boiled and diced)
- Yogurt- 1 cup (beaten)
- Hing- ½ tsp
- Methi seeds- ½ tsp
- Dhaniya seeds- 1tsp (crushed)
- Dhaniya powder- 1tsp
- Chat masala- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2tbsp
Procedure
1. Heat oil in a pan and add methi seeds, dhaniya seeds and sauté for a minute.
2. Then add the boiled and diced potatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
3. Mix the chat masala with yogurt and beat it properly. Add dhaniya powder, salt and a cup of water to the yogurt mixture and beat well.
4. Add this yogurt mixture to the pan and mix well.
5. Bring it to a boil and then sprinkle the hing on it. Simmer for a minute and then switch off the flame.
Hing dahi wale chatpate aloo is ready to be served. Enjoy this pure vegetarian delight with rice.
