Cooking is an art in itself. Everybody makes mistakes in the kitchen. Even the best cooks have their bad day in the kitchen. Below are the some of the tips to makeover mistakes done while cooking soups and cookies.
Soup
Over salted soup can be resurrected by adding a raw, peeled potato in the soup. Potato has the ability to absorb salt
If your soup has a excess grease, add a leaf of lettuce in the soup pot. It will absorb excess grease.
Garnishing makes food look good. Up your food flavor with fresh herbs, breadcrumbs, croutons, citrus zest, and yogurt.
Cookies
Start cutting on the outside edges of the rolled dough to the center to avoid scraps and rolling. Add one or two tablespoon of milk if your dish is too dry.
Avoid spreading of dough. Don't place it on warm cookie sheets. Always place your cookie dough on cold or cooled cookie sheets
Always store cookies with a slice of white bread or apple to keep them soft. But change the slice regularly. You can also soften hard cookies by using this method.
Check cookies regularly for 5 minutes before it completely gets cooked to avoid burning them.
