This simple cookie recipe has just 5 main ingredients and takes just 10 minutes to bake. So if you have been lazy then is is the best choice for a last minute easy Christmas recipe. All you need is some butter, flour and cream to try this frosted Christmas cookies recipe.
Ingredients For Caramel Cream Cookies:
1. Butter 100 grams (softened)
2. Fresh Cream 1 cup
3. Brown sugar 1 cup
4. Fine powdered sugar half cup
5. Milk 1 cup
6. Flour 2 cups
7. Egg 1
8. Vanilla essence 5 drops
9. Baking soda 1 pinch
Procedure For Caramel Cream Cookies:
- Whisk together 80 grams of butter, flour, ¾ the cream and brown sugar with milk to form a thick paste.
- Now break an egg into it and add 3 drops of vanilla essence. Beat the mixture together to make it smooth.
- Refrigerate this mixture overnight or for at least 5 hours to get the necessary frosting. Remove it and add a pinch of baking soda.
- Preheat the over to 325 degrees. Roll out balls out of the dough and place in a baking dish with hollows.
- Bake it on the lower rack of the microwave and bake for 8 to 12 minutes depending in the size of the cookies.
- Meanwhile the melt butter in a pan and caramelize powdered sugar in it. Add vanilla essence and pour the frosting over the cookies evenly.
You can have your cream caramel cookies after refrigerating for an hour or have them hot if you like
