Tomato Fish Soup Recipe
Soup is one of the best starters during the winter season. As the country is chilling this year with extremely low temperatures recorded till date, it is time, you warm up your body.Fight the chilling winter with a bowl of hot soup. Soups are healthy and filling too. If prepared with the right cooking method, soups can be low in calories and also nutritious. You can prepare many types of soups every day to fight the chilling winter cold. From plain tomato soup to vegetable soup, you can go creative with ingredients.
Some soups can be made with chicken or fish. If you love to have tomato soup and want to add some fish in it, then you can try the tomato fish soup recipe. The recipe is very simple and can be a delicious treat in the winters.

Fish tomato soup, starters recipe:
Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients
- White fish (salmon, mackerel or trout) - 5-8 ounces
- Onion- 2 (diced)
- Garlic- 3-4 pods (chopped)
- Tomato sauce- 1 can
- Oregano- 1tsp
- Basil leaves- 2
- Black pepper- 1tsp (grounded)
- Salt- as per taste
- Water- 1 cup
- Butter- 1tbsp
Procedure
- Melt butter in a frying pan. Saute onion and garlic in it till they turn translucent.
- Now add salt, black pepper, oregano and basil leaves. Mix and slowly pour water.
- Boil for 2 minutes on a high flame. Now add the tomato sauce and let it simmer. When the water thickens into the right consistency, add the fish and cook for another 10 minutes on a low flame.
- When the fish is cooked, put the pan off the flame.
Fish tomato soup is ready to drink. Garnish with coriander leaves or parsley and serve hot.
