Egg Bonda: Snack Recipe
You can always find eggs in the refrigerator of any house. It is one of the easy-to-cook food that is filling as well as healthy. If you have just returned from college or office and want to have some easy snack, then try your hands on egg.
There are many egg recipes that are simple as well as complicated. For example, an easy recipe like egg bhurji can be prepared within 10 minutes. Other Indian egg recipes like paratha take some time. But making any of these recipe is not rocket science. However, egg snacks are easy to prepare and taste delicious. Take egg bonda for example. Also known as egg pakora or egg bhajji, it is a fried and crisp snack that is filling and tastes yummy too. You do not even need too many ingredients to prepare egg bonda. Egg Bonda: Snack Recipe

Serves: 5 bondas (if served whole)
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20-30 minutes
Ingredients
- Eggs- 5
- Besan- ½ cup
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 1 cup for frying
Procedure
- Boil the eggs and peel the shells from them. Cut them into two halves if you want. If you want it as a whole, you can use like that.
- In a bowl, make a batter of besan, water, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well and keep them aside.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. When the oil is steaming, dip the eggs in the besan batter and coat them.
- Fry in the oil until it turns golden brown. Turn them frequently to allow even frying.
- When the pakoras or bondas look fried, you can strain them with a slotted spoon.
- Place them on absorbent paper towels. Dip the remaining eggs and deep fry them.
Egg bondas are ready. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup or with coriander chutney.
