Spicy Thai Chicken With Basil Recipe
The cold weather outside prompts us to have something hot and spicy. What can be a better option at this time than a smoking hot plate of spicy chicken dish?
So, today we have a special Thai recipe which is painlessly easy to prepare and gets ready in no time. Spicy Thai chicken with basil is a simple chicken recipe which can be a good option as an appetizer as well as a side dish.

Cooking time: 30 minutes

All you need
- Chicken breasts- 4 (boneless, cut into strips)
- Fresh basil leaves- 1/2 cup
- Fresh red chillies- 3 (sliced)
- Garlic- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Fish sauce- 1tbsp
- Soy sauce- 1tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Sugar- 1tsp
- Oil- 4tbsp

Procedure
1. Wash the chicken pieces thoroughly with water. Marinate it with the fish sauce and keep it aside.
2. Heat two tablespoon of oil in a wok or pan and add the chopped garlic. Saute for a minute.
3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and stir.
4. In another pan, heat two tablespoon of oil and fry the basil leaves till they turn crisp. Keep it aside.
5. Add the red chillies, soy sauce, salt and sugar to the chicken and mix well.
6. Cook on low flame till the chicken is completely cooked.
7. Now add the fried basil leaves to the chicken and toss it.
8. Once done, switch off the flame and serve.
Spicy Thai chicken with basil is ready to be served. It can be served as a side dish with fried rice or even as appetizers.
