Sesame Chicken Curry Recipe
Sesame chicken curry is a delicious treat for the meat lovers. The juicy chicken curry is topped with white sesame seeds which makes it an aromatic and lip smacking main course side dish. Sesame chicken curry has other ingredients like tomato puree and aromatic spices like black pepper, turmeric and cumin seeds,
The main course side dish, sesame chicken curry is served with steamed rice. You can also make it dry with chicken breasts. However, here we have prepared the sesame chicken curry. It is tangy, spicy and yummy!
Sesame Chicken Curry, Main Course Recipe:

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30-35 minutes
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken- ½ kg (cut into pieces)
- Tomato- 3 (pureed)
- Green chillies- 3-4 (finely chopped)
- Sesame seeds- ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Coriander powder- 1tsp
- Black pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Butter- 1tsp
- Oil- 2tbsp
Procedure
- Heat oil and butter in a pan on a medium flame.
- Add the washed chicken pieces and fry for 7-8 minutes.
- Add salt, black pepper powder and red chilli powder. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes. Put the chicken on a plate.
- In the same pan, add the sesame seeds and cumin seeds. Roast on a low flame for about 2 minutes.
- Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and mix well.
- Cook for 2 minutes and then add the chicken pieces. Simmer and cook till the puree thickens and the gravy looks cooked, and the chicken pieces become tender.
Garnish the sesame chicken curry with sesame seeds and chopped coriander leaves. Serve this main course side dish hot with steamed rice.
