Chicken Meatballs: Low Fat Diet Recipe
When you are on diet, you do not think of having some fried foods or snacks that can disrupt your weight loss program. Dieters mostly like to eat foods that are low in fat and tasteless at times. Let me tell you that dieters can make their boring food tasty by using the right ingredients and choosing a healthy cooking method. No one can resist the tempting smell and taste of snacks. So, stop worrying about your weight loss plan as here is a simple snack recipe that dieters can have. Pakoras are fried and so you avoid them while dieting. These meatballs are not fried but baked so they are low in calories and cholesterol.
Chicken meatballs recipe:

Serves: 20-25 meatballs
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- Ground chicken- 500gms
- Onion- ½ cup (finely chopped)
- Garlic- 2 pods (minced)
- Breadcrumbs- ½ cup
- Parmesan cheese- ½ cup (grated)
- Egg- 1
- Black pepper powder- 1tsp
- Salt
- Butter- 1tbsp
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 360 degrees.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium flame. Cook chopped onion and minced garlic in it for 4-5 minutes, until the onion becomes tender and golden brown. Once done, put the pan off flame and keep it in a large bowl.
- Add beaten egg, breadcrumbs, cheese, salt and pepper powder in the bowl. Mix well with a spoon. Now add chicken and mix with hands.
- Wet your palms and make round meatballs. Keep the meatballs on a plate.
- Grease a baking dish with olive oil and then place the meatballs. Keep them separately so that they do not stick with each other.
- Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes and check that the meatballs are thoroughly cooked. Take the meatballs out of the oven after it is baked completely.
Serve the chicken meatballs with coriander chutney or tamarind chutney. You can also have it as a side dish with rotis.
