AICW 2015: Aditi Rao Hydari & Chitrangada Singh Glams Up For Debarun
The Mughals were reborn on the ramp of Amazon India Couture Week 2015 after seeing the elegant collection of Debarun.
Bollywood has always inspired fashion industry ad making full use of the trends in Indian film industry, Debarun took us back to the black and white eras of the 50s and 60s.
The collection not just sticks to the 60s but then leaps forward to the 80s with disco brides and graduates to the 90s fashion trends. The final chapter shows the return to tradition and heritage but in a modern and post millennial style. Handwoven textiles rich silks and indulgent velvets formed the base for intricate embellishments.
Mughal-e-Azam historical sagas enacted in weaves, boldly embroidered full skirts for a contemporary dialogue by Debarun.
Zardozi, beadwork, thread embroidery were seen on appliques in floral, trellis and ornate motifs. As Debarun's collection was inspired by the Cinema, we had the gorgeous Bollywood actress, Aditi Rao Hydari as the showstopper for the designer.
Aditi Rao Hydari dazzled the ramp of AICW 2015 as sh turned showstopper for Debarun's Cinema inspired collection. The actress wore a silk flared lehenga with a sequinned dupatta.
While Aditi pulled off a modern bride, Chitrangada Singh was another celebrity showstopper who looked desi in a cream and red coloured lehenga.

The actress wore a silk flared lehenga with a sequinned dupatta. We love the colour contrast that Aditi pulled off with style. Aditi wore a grey coloured lehenga which had beadwork all over it.

As Debarun's collection was inspired by the Cinema, the collection would have been incomplete without the white and black saree which was revamped with a sequinned black blouse.
