Bride-To Be's Sangeet Collection: Wedding Spcl
Indian weddings are laden with many fun-filled rituals and customs. The most dynamic among these ceremonies is the wedding sangeet. This event is usually alive with chirpy laughter of the bride-to-be's cousins, sisters and friends. As the name suggests, the wedding sangeet is about singing and dancing. All the bridesmaids are expected to put up a song and dance to entertain the bride's and groom's family.
The bride too is made to dance in the sangeet and thus, her bridal clothes need to be picked with care. Sarees are usually not worn for this ceremony because it makes dancing difficult. The bridal clothes for the wedding sangeet must not be so elaborate that makes it difficult for the bride to dance. They also should not be so common, that the bride cannot be distinguished among the crowd of young women.
The Indian bride has to be at once demure and also brightly dressed. That is why the colour you choose to wear on the wedding sangeet also speaks volumes. Yellow is reserved for the Haldi ceremony and most brides wear red on the wedding day; so these two colours should be used sparingly for the sangeet. Moreover, black is forbidden for the Indian bride, so it should be totally excluded from the bridal trousseau.
Keeping all these specifications in mind, here are some of the best designs that the bride-to-be can wear for her wedding sangeet.

Amisha's Wine Coloured Lehenga
Demure and perfectly adorned as the Indian bride should be. This velvety wine-coloured lehenga choli has been worn in an interesting style by Amisha Patel.

Frills, Frills & More Frills For Sush
If you are blessed with amazing height like Sushmita Sen, then you can certainly try this frilly gharara-style outfit. The shocking pink dupatta contrasts with the cream coloured lehenga.

Royal Blue Fits The Princess
Royal blue is colour that many prefer for their sangeet. This lehenga choli used a rich shade of blue very subtly.

The Queen Of All Diva
When Madhuri Dixit is on the ramp, you can hardly talk about the outfit. But just because we have to, the colours in this outfit, red, blue and white have been used brilliantly. It is a dress fit for the Apsaras.

A Sunny Shade Of Red
Sunshine is usually yellow but in this case, Sunny (Leone) is all red. This simple red Anarkali suit can be worn by the bride quite comfortably.

The Modern Multi-Coloured Bride
The modern bride does not have to adhere to all traditions. If you don't want your outfit to be too jazzy, then go for this cotton lehenga sported by Kangna Ranaut.

Net Set For Veena
The wine coloured Lehenga may have 'bridal' written all over it and the net dupatta will make the bride look sensual. A bold fashion statement for the bride to make.
