Wedding affairs are too large in a Hindu marriage. It all starts from the day of engagement and continues till the reception. Reception is a function where the friends and relatives turn up to greet the newly wed couples. In many Hindu weddings, the wedding is kept as a private affair. So, couples invite their friends and relatives to the wedding reception.
In reception, no rituals are performed. Only the bride and the groom get well dressed to receive greetings, gifts and blessing from their close and loved ones.
So, it is very important for the newly wed couple to look gorgeous and eye-catchy on this day. The couple will be seated on decorated chairs where guests will come to greet. As it is an occasion where people come to see the bride as well as the groom, it is very crucial to pick up good outfits and accessories. Men can wear black or white. However, women are forbidden few colours for the wedding.
