Although oily bumps are harmless, these keratin-filled bumps on the face may really look ugly and disappointing. So, if you suffer from such bumps on the face, here are a few home remedies to follow.
What Causes Oily Bumps On The Face?
There are several factors why oily bumps can be found on the face. Check out for a few reasons below:
- Excessive secretion of sebum
- When pores get clogged due to heavy makeup
- Clogging of pores due to dirt and dust
- Genetic reasons
- Accumulation of dead skin cells on the face
- Hormonal changes in the body
- Excessive exposure to the sun

1. Honey
Honey is a natural humectant that helps to retain moisture on the skin and prevents oil bumps on the face. Take some honey and massage this on the bumps and leave it for an hour. Wash off with cold water later. Using honey quite often can help to unclog the pores.

2. Castor Oil
Due to a lot of antioxidants found in castor oil, it can help to treat oily bumps on the face. Due to antibacterial properties found in castor oil, it prevents excessive production of oil, thus treating the harmless condition.
Take some castor oil and heat it for some time. Massage your skin with this and wash off with cold water. If you feel castor oil is quite heavy on your skin, you can mix it with olive oil and then apply it on the face.

3. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera is an all-time remedy that helps to treat all kinds of skin problems and issues. Due to anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties found in aloe vera gel, it helps to soothe the skin.
Scoop out some aloe vera gel and massage it onto your skin. Leave it overnight and wash off in the morning. Use this continuously for a month to get rid of the oily bumps.

4. Potato
Potato is a cooling agent that naturally bleaches your skin and also prevents the accumulation of oil on the face. Take a potato and keep it in the refrigerator for some time. Now grate the cool potato and massage your face with this.
Leave it for some time and wash off with cold water later. Another way to use potato juice is to extract the juice from a potato and soak a cotton pad in the juice. Now keep the cotton pad on the oil bumps and allow it to dry.

5. Tea Tree Oil
Using tea tree oil is a natural yet effective remedy, as it helps to treat the oily bumps easily. It also helps to remove the dead skin cells and unclogs the pores. Take some tea tree oil and soak a cotton pad in the oil.
Now keep it on the oily bumps for some time. Make sure you clean the face well before applying tea tree oil. You can also add some drops of tea tree oil in your moisturiser or lotion and then use it.

6. Fenugreek Leaves
Take some fenugreek leaves and rinse them in water. Now, allow this water to cool down and then apply this on your face with the help of a cotton ball. Another way to use fenugreek leaves is to take some leaves and add some yogurt. Grind them to make a paste and then apply it on your face on the oily bumps. Wash off with cold water.

7. Sandalwood And Rose Water
Sandalwood powder is a cooling agent that helps to soothe your skin and cleanse the dirt and dust. Sandalwood and rose water paste is an excellent remedy to treat the oily bumps easily.
Take some sandalwood powder and add some rose water to it. Mix the ingredients together to make a paste. Apply it on your face and wash off with water.
