Antiperspirant On A Pimple? Does It Work?
An antiperspirant can have many uses. Find out if you can use an antiperspirant on your pimples as well to treat it.
Your underarms are definitely the sweatiest parts of your body. But does it mean that the other areas can't do with a little bit of antiperspirant every now and then?
Antiperspirants contain some powders and minerals that could benefit other parts as well. It helps stop friction, perspiration and kill bacteria, and a lot of areas could benefit from it, like your feet and your thighs.
Let's face it, no one likes the chafing they get from their thighs rubbing against each other. It's way too painful. But did you know that rubbing a little antiperspirant there can help actually prevent all the chafing?

And what about boob sweat? Any girl who's gone to the gym knows just how gross this can be, especially when it shows through your shirt. Well, antiperspirant is the answer to this as well. Just be sure to use one with mild or no scent, and one that does not have aluminium in it. There are several natural versions of antiperspirants that are available in the markets these days.
You can even make one at home for yourself. But does an antiperspirant really work on a zit or a pimple? The answer is Yes. It works by drying out the acne and also avoids the accumulation of toxins that could be found in sweat.

For this, you'll need a deodorant stick that is natural and free of aluminium. It might sound ridiculous to use a deodorant on your face, but the powder helps mattify the face to a great extent. It would be best to go for an unscented deodorant when doing this, as scented ones have more chemicals in them.

You can make one using coconut oil and baking soda as well. Some deodorants have mineral salts and crystals, which when used on top of a zit or a pimple can actually help heal it and go down, and stop oozing.
So, the next time you get a pimple, definitely try this method of applying an antiperspirant on the pimple to prevent it from growing and spreading further.
Things to keep in mind when trying this:
- Use a natural deodorant

- Make sure it is clean
- Wash it off if it burns at all
