• If your skin is dry during winter then your lips too will be dry. Try as much as possible to use liquid lip colour that has a glossy finish for winters. If you are using lipstick then apply a coat of lip balm on your lips and then a coat of transparent gloss over the lip colour.

• Smoky makeup is a great eye makeup tip for winters. Apply a thick layer of Vaseline on your eyelid and then draw with your eyeliner. Now delicately smudge the upper part of the liner. Apply gray or mud coloured eyeshadow over it. It gives you a sort of dreamy look.

• If you are the kind of person who prefers dark coloured clothing for winters then you should try to use skin tones to give you naturally pale look. If you are wearing dark browns and stale grays all the time then heavy makeup will not be good.

• If you do not have any particular preferences for dark and sombre clothes you can go for hot makeup even in the cold season. If red overcoats and bling tops are your style statement then you need different kind of winter makeup tips.

• Since the mercury is down you need to use warm colours to do make up. Red, yellow, black, orange, etc. should be your colours for the season. Winter is the perfect time to look dashing with red lip colour if you have the penchant for it. Warm colors bring a hot flush to your face which looks sensual.
