We always dream of styling our tresses just like the celebrities and models. Now, this is not an impossible thing as there are some effective and safe home remedies that can give a rich colour to your hair, make them shiny, healthy and soft.
Home Remedies For Dandruff And Dry Hair
You can colour your hair using herbal remedies made with ingredients available in your kitchen. There are some home remedies that you can try to have hair colour you want. Your kitchen contains many natural remedies that can treat dandruff, dry hair, and can even tint your hair with subtle colour.
These home remedies can also make your hair shiny, thick, voluminous, conditioned and healthy. Herbs and teas have been used on the hair from many years as a means of keeping the hair and scalp healthy.
Take a look at some home remedies for hair colour, conditioning, strengthening and adding shine to your hair.

For Dark Red Colour
Use hibiscus, calendula, paprika (copper), rosehip tea to give your hair a red tint. Boil the herb to get the extract. Apply the extract on clean dry hair. Keep it on for one hour and wash it off. This is one of the effective and safe home remedies for hair colour.

Rich Natural Colour
Use basil, cloves and sage for rich natural colour. They are also great for hair loss. Boil the herbs in water for half hour. Apply on clean hair when the extract has cooled down. Keep it on for an hour and wash it off.

For Dark Brown Colour
To get a red tinted hair colour, boil rosemary to get the extract and apply on clean hair. Let it stay for an hour and wash it off thoroughly. Do this twice a week at least for a month to get the desired results.

For Blond Hair
To give your hair a blonde tint, use chamomile or catnip tea. They will also brighten up your hair. To make the tea, boil the leaves or flowers in water for some time. Let it cool down and apply the extract on your hair. Leave it on for an hour, for an intense tint.

For Golden Reddish Colour
Rhubarb is fantastic remedy for adding a golden-reddish tint to blonde hair. Boil the herb in water for one hour. Apply it to your hair and keep it on for 2 hours. Wash off with cold water.

For Conditioning
Make a mixture of honey, distilled water and either cinnamon or cardamom powder. Apply the paste on your hair. Keep it for one hour and wash off. This hair mask will add shine and also conditions your hair.

Oily Hair
Use peppermint tea, green tea, black tea, thyme, orange peel to remove excess oil from scalp. They also assist in slowing down sebum production. For oily hair, it is best that herbs are made into a tea or mixed with vinegar.

For Shine
Herbs such as catnip, hibiscus, chamomile make your hair shiny and lustrous. They are one of the best herbs to make your hair shine. Boil the herbs to make a tea and add vinegar to it. Apply on wet hair and then rinse with water.

For Growth
Catnip, aloe vera, green tea, bay leaves, ginger, rooibos tea helps to grow back your hair. They nourish the roots and increase blood circulation to your scalp. Rub the extracts on your hair and scalp twice weekly. These are among the most effective herbs for hair growth.

To Stop Hair Loss
Apply lavender, rosemary, sage, black tea on your scalp to stop hair loss. You can use them in the form of oil, tea or as a herb pack to decrease hair shedding. Rub the oil on the scalp twice weekly.

Strengthening
Strong and healthy hair is able to resist breakage under pressure. Such hair is also less prone to shedding. Horsetail, comfrey and sage can be used for strengthening your hair. They add sheen to your hair and strengthen the shafts.

Soothing Herbs for Scalp
Apply rosemary, lavender tea, peppermint tea, chamomile, orange peel and nettle on your hair and scalp. You can use them as tea, a herb pack or their oils to sooth an irritated scalp. To make a tea, boil the herbs in water for some time and apply on your scalp.
