6 Home Remedies To Whiten Your Dark Knees

Lemon Rub
Lemon has rich amount of citric acid that lightens skin tone and reduces blemishes. Take freshly squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. Immerse a cotton ball in the solution and gently dab it on the affected area. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it clean and follow it up with a soothing lotion.

Cucumber + Tamarind
Tamarind contains hyaluronic acid that boosts the skin's elasticity, brightens skin tone and reduces fine lines. And, cucumber contains mild astringent property that helps get rid of skin tan.
Mix 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice with ½ a teaspoon of tamarind pulp. Apply the paste on the knees. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash it clean.

Vinegar + Yogurt
Yogurt has lactic acid that works as a mild bleaching agent, vinegar on the other hand has antibacterial properties that work to clear skin infection.
Mix both the ingredients in an equal quantity in a bowl. Massage it to the affected area. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it with cold water. Repeat this method once every day for quick results.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil contains lauric acid and proteins that repair damaged skin cells, promote skin regeneration and lighten skin tone. Massage organic coconut oil on the affected area every night before going to bed. And be amazed with the results!

Milk + Honey
Lactic acid and proteins present in milk gently exfoliate the skin of the dead skin cells, revealing the clear skin underneath. And honey packed with antioxidants improves skin's elasticity.
Mix both the ingredients in an equal quantity in a bowl. Gently massage it on to the knees in a circular motion. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it with cold water.

Mustard Oil + Salt
Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and antioxidants present in mustard oil work to remove tan and moisturise the skin. Salt contains iodine that exfoliates the skin to reveal the clear layer underneath.
Mix 1 tablespoon of mustard oil with an equal quantity of salt in a bowl. Gently scrub the affected area for about 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse it with cold water and pat dry.
