The scorching summer
Summer and it means scorching sun, heat and dry weather. Staying healthy during the summer requires more than one thing to care about. If you are playing outdoors or taking a vacation you need to take extra care. Exposure to the sun may leave you dry and make you look older with exhaustion. The practice of a good care with well maintained diet and getting adequate sleep and exercise will keep you fit, healthy and good looking.
As the direct sunrays are not very good for the skin use sunscreen lotion which will ensure to minimize the sunburn on the exposed areas of the body. Use a water resistant sunscreen lotion if you are swimming.
Wear sunglasses to protect from the direct ultraviolet rays to your eyes.
A hat will ensure to protect the hair from getting spoilt and also covers the face from getting tanned.
The clothes should be chosen carefully. Wear cotton dresses and lose fitting one that gives lot of space for the circulation of the air. Tight fitting may cause a lot of sweating.
Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. It keeps the body cool and gives lot of energy.
Drinking water is most essential during the summer. Keep the habit of carrying the water bottle along with you. Deficiency of water may cause dehydration to the body.
The intake of salt should be minimized since it makes you to crave for liquids. Intake of alcohol is also dangerous during a very hot season.
Proper rest is vital to keep you fresh and energized throughout the day. Poor rest will leave you exhausted and weak after long working hours.
